What if I were to tell you, that there was a cure for cancer, and for many other things for that matter? You might call me crazy, even thought that may be true, there is some truth to these words. You don’t have to have to deal with the problem if you just stay away from it all together. Same thing with health-related issues. We as a society tend to focus on treating symptoms that we already have rather than trying to prevent it. However, if you look at a nation like Canada, they strive to prevent the problem rather than treating it. But this preventative style of health can have great side effects on top good health. People should start to consider a preventative life.     

Leading a preventative lifestyle may seem boring and restrictive, however, this Instagram page shows just how colorful and appetizing leading a preventative lifestyle can look like. Instagram heavily caters to young people and if they are exposed to how fun living this sort of life style can be, the rate of health conditions like diabetes and obesity can drastically decrease due to how much exposure young people can get from social media like this. It shows that you don’t need to go to McDonalds or Popeyes to enjoy food. These foods look better than fast food, they have way better nutrients, with none of the negative health affects like cholesterol, high sodium or obesity. With all the benefits of making your own delicious foods, why do some people opt to fast foods? They look at fast food as an inexpensive, fast, tasty source of energy. In our busy lives, fast food seems like a great option, but in reality, it is a terrible way to fuel yourself. Self made foods can not only be more healthier and cheaper, it can also take less time. You can make premade meals all at once, so you save an extraordinary amount of time in the kitchen, and you can use that time to enjoy living a preventative health-style. On top of that, you can clearly see what’s going into your body and how nutrient dense your foods are. This is how healthy diet can help you live a preventative life style.

Although some people might say that big is beautiful- and I totally agree with that- it simply isn’t healthy, obesity can cause a lot of health detriments that can interfere with everyday life. Being in shape can help you enjoy it better. I agree, everyone should be able to feel good about themselves, but I also believe that everyone should just feel good in general, and that comes with a healthy diet and some exercise. Short term, a cheesecake and fast food for lunch everyday might seem like a super tasty and happiness filled day, but how good is it in the long term? You can have a lot of health detriments which could severely limit to how much you’ll enjoy life in the long term. However, in the long term, if you adopt a preventative life style, your general health and happiness will begin to flourish. It’s not only important to eat healthy and exercise, it’s important to adopt that life style for the long term. It might seem boring, but it’s important to treat yourself from time to time. You can have your cheesecake but, make it yourself, its healthier and can taste better too. Just be sure not to treat yourself every other day.

This article talks about specific diseases/ factors/ contributors and certain counter measures against them. They also talk about health effects of certain things like electronic cigarettes and things like that. They also speak about thinks like supplementation which can further aid you when you can’t properly deal with the issue at hand. They stress the importance of promoting physical activities and the positive effects of exercise on the neurological level. Things like dopamine get released triggering a good feeling you might have after doing something like exercise.  

A new adoption of a life style can not only move you away from diseases, it can also drastically improve your quality of life! Weather, it’s a stronger gut, better mood, or even a better night’s sleep, you’ll be rewarded for your dedication to the life style. But they are all similar in that they are wanting to promote change for the healthier person.
